66th Primetime Emmy Awards Highlights



The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, where stars of both the small and silver screens rocked up in their finest outfits to celebrate the year’s achievements, and where the lucky winners left with the coveted award.

Some of the attendees included Julia Roberts, Kerry Washington, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, Taylor Schilling, Zooey Deschanel, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Kate Mara and Matthew McConaughey with his wife Camila Alves.

TV show Breaking Bad won big, with cast members Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul taking home the Outstanding Lead Actor and Outstanding Supporting Actor for a Drama Series respectively, and the entire cast and crew of the show taking home Emmy awards for Outstanding Drama Series.

Matt Bomer, of White Collar fame, and Mark Ruffalo saw their work The Normal Heart win Outstanding Television Movie. The entire cast, which includes Julia Roberts, and crew were rightly proud of their achievements.

Other winners included Allison Janney, who won Outstanding Supporting Actress for a Comedy Series for her role in Mom, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actress for a Comedy Series for her role in Veep. Ty Burrell walked away with Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Phil Dunphy on Modern Family. To round off the Comedy Series awards, Uzo Aduba won the award for Outstanding Guest Actress for her role as “Crazy Eyes” in popular Netflix show Orange is the New Black.
