This week in the celebrity spotlight, Angelina Jolie attended the Golden Summit, lending her star power to the event with the support of husband Brad Pitt. This important gathering aims to end sexual violence in zones of conflict throughout the globe. Celebrities took to their Twitter accounts to pay tribute to the recently departed Casey Kasem, a radio legend and the voice of Shaggy in famed animation series Scooby-Doo. In Los Angeles, the Stanley Cup Finals was a hot ticket for celebrities. Spotted at the Staples Center were the likes of Channing Tatum, Chloë Grace Moretz, Chris Pine, Taylor Kitsch, Joe Jonas and Joshua Jackson.
Samuel L. Jackson, as part of the London Men’s Collection Week, hosted the event One for the Boys to create awareness about men’s cancer issues. Colin Firth, among other glitterati, was also in attendance. Elsewhere in London, The Fault in Our Stars held a special screening. Despite the absence of lead Shailene Woodley, costar Laura Dern was on hand with positive comments about the leading actress and the film itself. Also spotted on the promotional trail were Australian actor Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson with their new flick, The Rover. Stars arrived to support Arianna Huffington as she was honored at The Trevor Project live event in New York City. The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBT youth. Among those in attendance were Neil Patrick Harris and Ellen Page, who spoke about the challenges of youth coming out to friends and family and the importance of the Trevor Project.
