Alexis Mabille: Behind the Scenes at Paris Fashion Week

Catch the latest backstage buzz as FashionOne host Maiken Lorentz takes you behind the scenes at Alexis Mabille's Spring/Summer 2015 collection during Paris Fashion Week.

Key make-up artist for the show, Carole Colombani, revealed that the inspiration for the make-up on the models was the "bronze goddess" concept – perfect for summer. A bronzed, radiant complexion is essential to the look, with a focus on the eyes using metallic eye shadows. Although Mabille converses with her about the looks he wants featured on the runway, he also gives her the freedom to create the make-up for the show.

Her original thoughts about the make-up were that it should be minimal and natural, but with input from the show’s stylist, Colombani injected some gold and copper into the final look.

Alexis Mabille himself said, “Of course the inspiration is very dedicated to femininity, to women… I love women’s bodies and when you do fashion for women you know, you are playing, you are making them even more beautiful than they are. It’s part of the attitude and the wardrobe.” Mabille’s wardrobe in question is summery, featuring sportswear with a relaxed feel, and is very sensual and sexy with its lace and bias cut dresses. The collection featured navy blues, nudes, grays, and pale cream colors.

The Mabille woman for Spring Summer 2015 is all about having a "naughty, funny and sensual attitude."
