Vogue Cover Trio and Chinese Fashion Expansion

The cover of the highly anticipated September issue of American Vogue has been revealed. The issue will feature three of the world’s most in-demand models—Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss—shot by renowned Peruvian photographer Mario Testino. The three models, christened “The Instagirls” on the cover, are united not just by their modeling success but also their savvy use of social media, which is allowing them to attain a new Millennial generation supermodel status.

English reality TV star Kelly Osbourne, in collaboration with Jupi Corporation, is set to launch her first-ever ready-to-wear collection in September. The line, informed by a strong British aesthetic, will feature an array of tops, bottoms, jackets and dresses.

British multinational fashion retail company Arcadia Group has partnered with China’s biggest online multi-brand fashion retailer ShangPin.com to bring its labels to Chinese online consumers. Launching on the ShangPin Network from September 2014, as well as Topshot and Miss Selfridge’s online stores, with this partnership Arcadia looks to tap the huge Chinese online market.

American retailer GAP has launched a new fall campaign designed with advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy New York to celebrate the everyday art of dressing normally. The adverts feature celebrity models such as Zosia Mamet, Elisabeth Moss and Anjelica Huston in mundane everyday situations, and emphasizes a dressed-down appearance where consumers create their own subtle, individualized styles.

And finally, Forbes magazine has compiled a list of the highest-paid models around the globe. Leading the list was Brazilian-born former Victoria’s Secret Angel Gisele Bündchen, who at 34 remains unchallenged as the world’s top supermodel.
