Kooey Australia at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2013

Kooey Australia’s collection featured at MBFWS offered a unique break from traditional runway shows with a creative fashion presentation showcased at the penthouse of the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. In opposition to a long runway, models posed atop modern white blocks, ideal for excellent pictures and getting a closer look at the designed pieces. Viewers were able to see each piece individually, including details not usually visible during a sit-down show. The Australian based brand derives its inspiration from the luscious and lovely environment of their homeland. Kooey Australia is also the official sponsor of Miss USA and Miss Universe, ideally fitting to their sophisticated and refined swim ensembles. The color palette executed during the presentation included seafoam green, magenta and various shades of violet and blue. Muted watercolor floral prints provided an elegant touch to bandeaus, hipster bottoms and plunging silhouettes. Many of the pieces were also reversible, showing both deep ocean blue and soft sky hues. In addition to tankinis and high-waisted briefs, Kooey Australia featured delicate lace shorts and sheer oversized cardigans, accented with pops of bright orange and fuchsia. Bra top styles with lingerie inspiration were also popular, paired with glamorous jeweled embellishments.
