We bring you the Dries Van Noten ready-to-wear collection from Paris Fashion Week for the autumn/winter 2015 season. Join Fashion One as we take a peak behind-the-scenes and catch the models undergoing hair and makeup in the grand rooms of the Hôtel de Ville. Watch highlights from the delightful runway show which featured long flared silhouettes with lots of belted waists in an array of glamorous fabrics and embellishments from tapestry to sequins.

In an exclusive interview with the designer, Dries Van Noten tells us all about his new designs and the concept behind the garments. The starting point was to translate the passion of the past into a collection you can wear today. He wanted to incorporate jacquards but kept them contemporary with modern shapes mixed with easy cottons. The skirt-capes can also be worn as a regular cape, they are easy to wear, easy to dance in and create an impact as well as being a versatile addition to any woman’s existing wardrobe.

Other pieces included printed suits, wide leg pants, multilayered tops and dresses featuring red and gold brocades, feather trims and shimmering iridescent sequins. Accessories included matching clutch bags, fabric flower corsages and striking elbow length leather gloves. Overall there was a feeling of refined opulence in a balanced collection of statement pieces and wearable day wear.
