TAKING A WALK ON THE DARK SIDE: KATIE GALLAGHER X SPLAT HAIR COLORLongtime followers will know that I have had every hair color possible on the spectrum, ranging from blue to red to pastel. Though I may have hung up the dyeing gloves––at least for the moment––I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for bold and beautiful hair colors. That is why I'm excited to announce Splat's new Midnight Collection! Debuted on Katie Gallagher's SS17 runway at NYFW earlier last week, Splat's latest range of hair color is rich, sultry and statement-making no matter what the season.
I had a chance to sit down with Splat VP Helen Crutchfield-Christoni to get a first look at the Midnight Collection and talk about everything from surviving New York Fashion Week to always having a good hair day. Read more after the jump!
HELEN CRUTCHFIELD-CHRISTONI: Capturing the depth of midnight with all of its nuance.
What tips do you have to easily recreate the Katie Gallagher SS17 hair look at home?
This look can be created by adding a deep side part then a lot of texturizing spray or dry shampoo to the hair, teasing the bottom third of your hair and then locking in a with hairspray. The colors used were Midnight Indigo and Midnight Amethyst from Splat.
What beauty looks are you most excited about for the SS17 season?
Definitely a richer color palette with an emphasis on rich gem toned colors. They are more mysterious and easier on the eye. It’s also fun to create dramatic bold looks with Indigo, Ruby and Dark Amethyst hues.
Dry shampoo, city sneakers, water and a fan.
What are your top 3 holy grail beauty products?
Splat hair dye for all fantasy color needs, dry shampoo and red lipstick.
What sets Splat apart from other brands on the market?
We have the best pigment hands down, so with Splat you know you will get the most intense bang for your buck and any color you choose will look amazing.
